The Carousel of Life!

It is astounding how much development and growth happens in the 2nd year of life! So many firsts…first steps, first sentences, first time putting on their own shoes, first time riding a tricycle. As much as we love those first moments, we sometimes just want to just stop time.

But today, we are celebrating the evolution of time. Here’s peak at Addie’s recent 2nd birthday party at a park with beautiful vintage carousel.

The custom pink ombre cake was from Susie Cakes. And then we decorated it with an old carousel ornament that was painted gold and a mini DIY pennant flag. The delicious mini cupcakes were courtesy of Cako.

Custom carousel horse cookies by Noah’s Sweets. They were so adorable, we almost didn’t want to eat these little pieces of art!

We had a fun DIY sticker party hat station for the toddlers. It was a great engaging activity for them and then they got to wear the new hat they made. You can buy any paper party hat, glue craft paper to the hat and add DIY pom poms to top off the hat!

A Season of Change

parenting changeEach season brings change and opportunity for growth. Spring is upon us and with it we are thankfully experiencing spring showers, rainbows, beautiful clouds as well as new leaves on bare trees, blossoms, and more. You may have noticed your child’s pants seem short and shoes a little tight. Our children are growing also and their skills are blossoming every day.

This is a good time to reassess expectations at home. Children are so capable…remember to offer more challenges as your child grows. Depending on your child’s age, you might start having them dress themselves, put their own shoes on, set the table, feed a pet, make their own bed etc.

Get more tips on how to help your toddler master new skills.

Play is the Work of Children

Quote_Play Is Childrens Work

From day one, a baby starts learning through play. The interactions and experiences are essential for social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. 75% of brain development happens after birth…so it’s time to play.

Our mission is to help you nurture your baby’s growth and development by providing age-appropriate learning toys for each stage of development. And deliver them to your doorstep at the right stage.
